Daniel Cogne, author of the excellent *Beauce Pottery - The Story of Beauceware and Ceramique de Beauce, *confirmed that several years after McCoy Pottery (U.S.A.) introduced a line of yellow smiley face pieces, Beauce came out with its line of yellow pieces. The Beauce pieces are easily identified with the lower case cb mold mark.

Shown
above are 2 different *3 Trees Marks*
The one on the left was used by Blue Mountain Pottery, the one
on the right
was used by Laurentian Pottery, St. Jerome, Quebec. (Also
see that entry).
Founded
by Mr. Jozo Weider circa 1950 give or take a year or so
either side of 1950 depending on one's definition of 'pottery'.
Much
information about Blue Mountain Pottery can be found at
www.bmpcc.com. One of the interesting footnotes to Blue Mountain
Pottery's history is that Sensor Technology Limited (Collingwood,
Ontario) was incorporated in 1983 as BM Hi Tech Inc. It was then
acquired in 1985 by Sensor Technology from its parent company,
Blue Mountain Pottery, Ltd. At one time it was the largest
piezoelectric product manufacturer in Canada.
